I’m a ‘muddy-boots-on-her-feet, dog-leads-in-her-porch, essential-oils-in-her-pocket’ kinda girl!
A few years ago, I shot my last wedding in Surrey and made the big move up north to be a wedding photographer in the Lake District. And it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Because whether I’m disappearing into the wilderness for an adventure with my daughters, or just taking my dogs for a walk, as soon as I step out the door, I feel like I’m home.
When I’m not immersed in my work, I’m clambering up a mountain, wild swimming in the lakes, or exploring the world with my border collie, my two daughters and my partner in my hand-made campervan. I’m really passionate about sustainability, living off the land, and am a firm believer that there’s no amount of wind and rain that a bit of lippy and a hairbrush can’t fix!
My boyfriend, Bruce, is a (ruggedly handsome!) mountain guide. And he’s always encouraging me to do terrifying things outside of my comfort zone. Which I love, but which generally ends in me sobbing helplessly with mascara running down my face. Or hanging off some sort of boulder/tree unable to get down.
Whether it’s your wedding day, a newborn shoot or a branding session, I really want you to feel like you can relax around me, trust me, and just be yourself.
So I don’t think you can have a ‘cookie-cutter’ approach to photography. Because everyone’s different, right? We’ve all got different things that make us tick, make us laugh, make us cringe, make us cry. And I want you smiling and laughing, not cringing and crying!
My holistic approach (and my borderline-empath ability to read people!) means I can give you a unique experience centred around you. Making you feel as comfortable and confident as possible, in a safe environment where anything goes.
